The Best Beach Body Workout for Women to Lose Weight

Summer is here—but it’s never too late to work on your beach body! It doesn’t take all that long to trim a few extra pounds, or to tighten up in a few key places, presenting a much more fit and toned appearance. The key is to go about this in a way that affects your entire body. If you show a little bit of improvement all over, the results are easily noticeable and much more dramatic. When it comes to working out, a whole-body approach is greater than the sum of its parts.

If by chance you’ve missed out on toning up during the beginning of summer, or just want to keep your body in shape, these are great tips throughout the Fall and Winter too. Personally, I prefer working out in cooler temperatures. It allows me to push a little harder before the heat gets to me.  By maintaining your body throughout the year, it makes it a whole lot easier to get back into peak shape for your next event, reunion, outing, or next summer!

Try a Hip-Hop or Boot Camp Class:

The focus of these respective means of getting into shape is slightly different, but either one is geared towards achieving quick results. We suggest giving this kind of workout a try early in the day, and preferably early in the week. As a Monday morning activity, a hip-hop or boot camp class will help to get your blood flowing, get you out of the groggy “urrrgh, Monday” mindset, and give you extra energy to face the coming week. Unlike actual boot camp, you get to control how often you do this: we suggest starting out with once per week, and following it up with some abs training later in the day.

Great way to listen to some music, meet new friends, workout your whole body, and learn some new moves for when you’re out with friends!

Work Out with a Friend:

One of the best ways to ensure that you stick to a new workout routine, especially if it represents a new obligation in your life, is to work out with a friend. Working out with a friends one of the most effective, proven, and highly encouraged means of ensuring that you stick to your fitness plan when those first aches and pains from regular activity start to set in.

Make no mistake: there is no way to get into shape quickly which won’t result in a few sore muscles! However, a friend can be the extra encouragement you need in ensuring that, between the time when you start to hurt and the time when you actually see results, you don’t quit. They know what you’re going through, and will benefit from your support as much as you do theirs. It’s all about teamwork. If you carve out as much time as possible for your workouts, you should begin to see results in 2-3 weeks—and so will those around you!

Follow a Few Easy Steps:

You’re not a bodybuilder. You aren’t trying to start a new lifestyle—you just want to look nice for the summer, when you can’t hide behind large sweaters and scarves anymore. If it lasts, fantastic! You probably wouldn’t complain, right? But the point is, you don’t need to go all-out with the lifestyle changes in order to facilitate an attractive, eye-catching beach bod.

To start with, you should find one or two exercises that focus on each major part of your body, and stick to those. You don’t need to worry about balancing biceps and triceps, or working on your glutes and your hamstrings… you just want to tone up your arms and legs a little. Go in with realistic short-term goals, and you’ll be happy with what happens in the very near future!
